Timothy Michael George Rice, of Cooyal Street, failed to appear before the court charged with driving a vehicle with an illicit drug present in his blood.
According to police facts around 4.05pm Monday, August 23, police stopped a black Porsche Cayenne in the car park of a local business and spoke to Rice who was unable to produce a licence but did produce a NSW proof of age card.
Police checks confirmed Rice was the holder of a current licence and then subjected him to breath and oral fluid testing which returned a positive detection of methamphetamine.
In sentencing, Magistrate Jillian Kiely noted Rice had a terrible driving record.
"He has previous drive illicit offences, one earlier in 2021, in 2019 and 2013," she said.
"He also has a poor criminal record having spent time in custody for assaulting police."
