Played over 36 holes the title was finalised last Thursday.
In perfect weather conditions and the opportunity to compete in the second round of the Cowra Golf Club Veteran Golf club championship, and two other events being run in conjunction, forty saw keen golfers took to the course last Thursday, June 4.
The second and final 18 hole Stroke round saw Harrigan secure the title with a four shot margin from Dave Thomas with first round leader Rod Haug a further stroke back in third position.
Playing off a handicap of 15 Harrigan returned rounds of 85 and 80.
Runner up Dave Thomas was also very consistent with rounds of 83 and 80.
Playing off a handicap of 12 Dave finished the two rounds two under par with nett 39.
Rod Haug also played very consistent golf with rounds of 93 and 95 finishing at nett 140 off his 24 handicap.
The top eight players are listed with their stroke score followed by their handicap, nett score and final two round score.

Harrigan's sensational final round saw him return a nett score after handicap of six below par.
Peter Kirwan continued to produce a stroke score below par to finish the 36 holes, five below par before having to add his PLUS 2 handicap.
VETERAN'S 9 HOLE STABLEFORD.
Also on Thursday the veterans took part in a 9 hole stableford Event playing off the Veterans Modified Handicaps, commencing on the 10th tee.
John Harrigan played an exceptional 18 holes of golf on this day, firstly to win the Veterans 9 hole event on the diminished handicap of 11 against his handicap of 15 for the Veterans Championship.
He went on to win the Cowra Pro Shop 18 Hole Stableford event with 42 points, and to win the second and final stroke round of the Veterans Club Championship. This earnt him the title Veteran Club Champion 2020.
Rod HAUG who was leading the Veterans Championship after the first round, but was overtaken by John HARRIGAN this week, scored well enough to be just 1 Point behind John HARRIGAN in this week's Veterans event.

The prize winners will have their 18 Hole Veterans Handicap reduced by 3, the other players will have their handicap increased by 1.

The Cowra Golf Club's Golf Professional, Tom PERFECT's, 18 Hole Stableford Competition, open to all ages and run concurrently with the Veterans event, with all players on their official GOLFLINK handicaps. There were 41 Starters in the 18 Hole event.
