Jesus the Game Changer
On Sunday, March 1, the church will be hosting a screening of two episodes of the documentary style "Jesus the Game Changer".
Each episode is about half an hour each and focus on two specific aspects of Jesus - was he a real person and what can we and what should we know?

The screening is free to attend and will start at 7pm.

New Dads - Rise up!
The Baptist Church has also introduced a short-course group for men who are relatively new to fatherhood.
Designed to help men face the real challenges of being a dad in difficult days, Pastor Austin says it is "an opportunity to listen to others, learn from others, grow in character, learn from mistakes, take responsibility and love well. It matters".
This is a Christian led group.
"We know that many who claimed to be Christian men have betrayed trust, been bad examples and messed up many lives," Pastor Austin said.
"For that we are very sorry and sad. However, being a good father is a good thing, and we want to help facilitate healthy respectful DADship.
"We don't have all the answers, but we will look at some topics and issues that are vital for fatherhood and reflect on God's word.
"You will not be Bible bashed, but you might be challenged; and we do want you to be encouraged."
The group is designed for dads, both single and married, with kids aged 0 to 5 years and will start on Monday, March 2 at 7pm:
Week 1: What does it mean to Protect and Provide?
Week 2: Honour and Purity
Week 3: Failure and Forgiveness
Week 4: Abuse and Discipline
Week 5: Fun and Love - Lead by service and sacrifice.
Playtime
It has been decades since Cowra Baptist Church began its "Playtime" ministry.
Pastor Austin said those who lead it now have a great deal of experience and have provided lots of encouragements to young mums.
"It is a hard thing to juggle parenting and life and little children can be challenging at times," he said.
"That's why it is so very helpful to have some support along the way. The carers seem to really enjoy just getting together sharing stories and having some adult conversation.

"The Playtime is a casual and yet meaningful time for both the carers and the children"
"Playime" happens at Cowra Baptist Church on Wednesdays during the school terms, starting at 10am.
They have games and toy time, read stories, eat fruit and have fun.
