The "Kick'n The Tin for the Bushfire Appeal" concert held in January, which featured performances by local musicians, resulted in a donation of $9500 to the Salvation Army.
Organiser Marc McLeish said he was grateful to the artists, the supporting businesses, the community and the Cowra Services Club, which provided the venue but also matched money raised on the day dollar for dollar.
"They were very generous in coming on and saying they would match our fundraising effort dollar for dollar," he said.
Cowra Services Club President, Ken Apps, said the club was keen to help out in any way they could.
"We thought we needed to do something, it was at the height of the bushfire event, especially down the south coast and in Victoria," Mr Apps said.
"And a lot of people, club members, were asking us, 'what can we do?' So we wanted to jump on board, I thank Marc for the concept, I thank all of the Cowra artists who played for donating their time, it was such an excellent day and well supported by the Cowra community as well."
A cheque presentation was held on Wednesday night with Major Mark Williamson from the Cowra Salvation Army accepting the donation.
"I just want to say thank you on behalf of the Salvation Army and on behalf of those affected by the bushfires," Major Williamson said.
"I think it is quite indicative of the Australian spirit and the Cowra spirit in particular.
"It seems there are no limits to the generousity of the people in Cowra."

Major Williamson said more than 80 per cent of funds raised during the bushfire crisis have gone directly to communities in need.
"It's certainly been a horrific bushfire season so far and we know that unfortunately it's not over yet and bushfires continue to burn," he said.
"You don't rebuild the community and you don't rebuild your life and your livelihood overnight and rest assured that the Salvation Army is there for the long haul.
"There in the immediate phase but also the extended recovery phase as well. Thank you again to everybody whose assisted in this appeal."
