The students collected over 1000 items that will be put into hampers and given to local families in need this Christmas.
Cowra Public School Deputy Principal, Albert Murray, said it fantastic to see the students continuing the school's tradition.
"It's something we've done for a number of years now, the kids enjoy supporting the Salvation Army," he said.
"We all enjoy it and we make it a bit of a competition between the primary and infants classes, it's a very worthy cause.
"The Salvation Army does quite a lot work with the kids at our school. Kids in the Kitchen, we have quite a few students in that and they also send a number of our kids to Red Shield Kids camp in Sydney which is very much appreciated.
"We appreciate that connection and the community engagement we get is appreciated from our side. It's great to see the school community get behind the wider Cowra community.
Cowra Salvation Army Major, Cathryn Williamson said the donations were very much appreciated.
"It (the donations) goes a long way to completing the hampers that we put together for assistance," she said.
"Looking at about 70 families who will be supported and each of those families will get a hamper based on the families size.
"Any of the donations we don't use at Christmas is put aside and we are able to use it throughout the year, so we are thankful for the ongoing support over the years," she said.
