More than 360 students and staff made their way down Kendal Street dressed as a range of characters.
CPS Principal, Jenny Lewis, said it was fantastic to see the school getting into the book week spirit.
"The effort that students, staff and parents put in to their costume creations was absolutely brilliant," she said.
"A huge thank you to the Kendal Street businesses that supported our parade and to the families who turned up to watch.
"Thank you also to our amazing librarians Sheridan Oborn and Jayne Sharkey, for their organisation of this fantastic event," she said.
This year the school's hotly contested "Best Costume Group", judged by the students, was narrowly won by the school's Infant teachers dressed up as "Willy Wonka and the Oompa-loompas" and Mrs Oborn who was "Super Librarian".
