Ron Steven Wallace was charged with driving during a disqualification period.
According to police around 1.15pm on December 5, 2018 police patrolling Lyndhurst stopped Wallace for an RBT. When asked for a licence he was unable to produce one.
A licence check revealed his licence had been disqualified at Cowra Local Court on October 3, 2018 until October 2023.
Wallace told police he had not been at court on that date but had been represented by the ALS and was not advised of the penalty.
Wallace's solicitor Mr Song told the court the ALS had been withdrawn from the previous case and as such Wallace had been sentenced in his absence.
He also told the court Wallace had been informed he needed to keep his details up to date with the courts and ALS.
