The Bureau of Meteorology predicted rain from Tuesday to Thursday, while some locations also to received a little on Friday.
Wild winds and flash flooding swept through the region leaving a trail of destruction, with one Cowra business being damaged by the storm.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded Cowra receiving 40.4 millimeters of rain, however some residents reported receiving between 50mm and 88mm
Orange received a hefty 58.2 millimetres of rain recorded, with Bathurst close behind them with 56.4mm.
Good rain was also received in Forbes (34.2mm), Mudgee (28.8mm), Dubbo (28.2mm), Parkes (26.4mm), Lithgow (22.8mm) and Young (21.8mm).
