Cowra’s Jeremy Ryan raced away with podium finishes in all three events he took part in during the Cycling NSW Masters Championships held at Molong and Orange on September 22, 23 and 24.

Held in the neighbouring Central West towns from September 22 to 24, Ryan picked up silver medals in the individual time trial and the Criterium as well as a bronze medal in the road race.
Ryan races with the Bathurst Cycling Club with the club’s riders taking home an impressive 15 medals – four golds, six silvers and five bronzes during the championships.
Ryan finished second in the individual time trial in a time of 31.24 just three seconds from the race winner Stuart Grieve from the Northern Sydney Cycle Club.
The third placed rider, Craig Sinteur of the North Western Sydney Cycle Club, was nearly 18 seconds adrift in third place, picking up the bronze medal.
In the Criterium, Ryan finished in a time of 46 minutes and 32 seconds, the same time as the race winner from North Western Sydney Cycling Club, Craig Sinteur, who finished third in the time trial.
Edward Parker of the Lidcombe Cycle Club was in third position, 59 seconds adrift of Ryan.
Ryan’s silver medals followed on from his third place in the road race which was held at Molong on September 22 over a 81.5km course with all three placegetters finishing with the same time.
The gold was presented to Matthew Warner-Smith of the Hunter District Cycle Club and the silver to Craig Sinteur.
Ryan’s individual Masters success follows on from his gold medal winning performance in July this year as a member of the Bathurst team which won the NSW Team Time Trial Championships at Nowra where he was described as the “powerhouse” of the team.
