Unfortunately, a walk at Abercrombie Caves was postponed due to the wind and dust storm but the weekend in the houseboat on Wyangala Dam was great fun.
The group did manage some walks, a brave soul did swim and 4 went kayaking (in the wind). Apart from the physical activities, a very social time was had by everyone. Last Sunday was a walk to John Rudd’s farm at Bigga.
This coming Sunday, April 29 the group will enjoy breakfast with the balloons at Canowindra, then Geoff, 0498 577 560, (Leader) has a walk or two planned, leaving the Visitors Centre at 7am.
All members and interested walkers are asked to contact the Leader prior to the walk to let them know you are coming and to find out the degree of difficulty of the walk.
All walkers must ensure they have any medications they need and to notify the Leader if they have any conditions e.g allergy to bees.
New walkers are always welcome, along with children (accompanied by an adult) and you can have up to three trial walks before you have to join.
Membership is a very reasonable $20 per year.
Future walks planned, so far are to Abercrombie Caves - Sun, May 6 (Lesley 0439 467 489) and Sat/Sun, May 12/13 to Tidbinbilla (Janice 0437 136 398).
The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 1 at Services Club at 7.30pm. Come along, find out about the group and enjoy the great outdoors.

'Ride,' Pleasure said;
'Walk,' Joy replied.”
