In October Alan Messiter will travel to Ettalong for the State Senior Singles Championships. He will then join with Neville Connor as they strive to win the State Senior Pairs title in the same week. In November Gerard Beath plays at Kiama for the State Champion of Club Champions’ Singles title.
Graded pairs final
Another weekend and one more club championship decided as we count down to the club’s presentation night in December. In the sets format championship, Brian Duff and Noel Hubber won the first set 11-6 then lost the second set 1-9 forcing the final in to a one end tie break.
When Duff’s first bowl rested on the jack it was enough for them to defeat Rod Young and David Bryant by the barest of margins.
