Marbo's Magic ran a flying 25.38s in his victory in the Bathurst RSL Club Stakes (450m), ousting the previous record held jointly by Talking Point and Bass Louder at 25.45s.
On Monday, he was challenged early by kennelmate Rapid Blaze but superior speed at the top of the bend saw him speed past the post by four-and-a-quarter lengths.
Rapid Blaze completed a quinella for the Braddons. Marbo’s Magic’s triumph was his 26th win from 43 starts.
The victory also marked an incredible six wins from seven attempts over the 450m at Kennerson Park.
The Braddons trained Janderra’s Wish took out the Book Your Xmas Function Stakes (450m) to make it fruitful trip to Bathurst for the husband and wife team of Paul and Pamela.
Cowra trainer Rodney McDonald also picked up a win with Ava The Weapon.
