After combining and scoring on Boxing Day in the Summer Cup at Randwick, this was Red Excitement’s next assignment and Hyeronimus produced an excellent ride to secure the gelding back to back wins.
Having dashed to a four length lead at the top of the straight, Red Excitement ($3.20) kicked strongly to keep his rivals at bay and secure the majority of the $150,000 prizemony on offer.
A gelding of 40 starts, Red Excitement has won 13 races, earning more than $700,000 for connections.
Hyeronimus also gave Ryan a third place finish onboard Red Excitement’s stablemate Miss Fiesole in the day’s maiden handicap.
Hyeronimus has registered six wins in the saddle this year.
He will look to continue his form riding for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott at Warwick Farm this Wednesday.
