We had 66 players tee off in what also doubled as our fourth Handiskins qualifying round. The score of the day was had by Dave Leister with 41 points off his handicap of nine.
For his efforts Dave wins a Leuk the Duck woodcover and bottle of Peter Lehman Shiraz along with being the first qualifier for the Handiskins final.
Dave’s three qualifying scores are 38, 37 and 41 points for a total of 116. He is well ahead of the field and will now be able to warm up for the club final. Well done Dave.
Four others scored themselves 40 points Steve Lynch, Stephen Apps, Leigh Browne and Craig Jeffries all had a great day with clubs in hand.

Next Saturday is a Stroke event sponsored by Sportspower Cowra. Wayne asks that you all wear your brightest, most out there shirt for which there will be a prize otherwise you will be fined.
The Handiskins leaderboard is tight. Dave Leister is a runaway leader at the moment but many guys are battling it out for the three other places in the final.
The fifth round should prove to be very exciting for all involved. Leaderboard after round four. Dave Leister 116 points, Craig Jeffries 111 points, Peter Kirwan 107 points, Paul Jones 106 points, John Holmes 106 points, Matt Thompson 104 points, David Howarth 104 points, Cookie Dolbel 104 points, Terry Johns 103 points.
Ryan Howard and Wally Webb have are averaging 38 through two round and will be in the mix next month.
Tuesday six players took on the chook run with birds going to Ralph Stretton and John Webster, 34 and 35 nett.
Last Thursday 13 players attempted the Thursday Pro Competition. Jeff MacPherson was a runaway
winner with 39 points from Mick Jordan who had 36 points. Balls went to 32 points.
In the 9 hole vets Stableford 21 players battled each other for a tasty tasty chook. Ray Anderson
shone above all others with 17 points to take the day. The lucky last chook went to Keith Miller with
13 points on a countback which will make up for his missing out on the last ball on Saturday.
