Played at 10am Cowra's Ian Nelson was the opponent and, until the last end of 10, it looked like Mr Peniguel was going to take the honours but a resurgent Nelson bagged four to even up the scores at seven a piece.
Mr Peniguel said how enjoyable it is to play games against opposition that is so closely matched.
Peniguel's attempt continued yesterday at Young Bowling Club, Grenfell and Boorawa today, from there he will make the trek to Wagga as he heads closer towards his goal of 600.
