Incumbent Cowra mayor Bill West is throwing his hat in the ring again to retain Cowra's top job.
He said he's enjoyed his six years as mayor and would love to be elected for another 12 months.
"I believe I still have something to offer but it's up to my colleagues to decide," Cr West said.
"It's part and parcel of democracy to be judged by your community and your peers and this process is just a part of that."
Current deputy mayor, Councillor Judi Smith, is also re-nominating but will be away for Monday night's election as she is supervising students on excursion in Japan.
She said it's been fun having a more central role in Council and getting to represent the mayor and community at various functions.
"It can be very busy at times but very interesting," Cr Smith said.
"My fellow councillors have been very kind to me and our general manager has been very supportive. It's been a good year and I hope to continue in the role so I can do more of the same and get some more experience."
