Red Devils show grit in grand final battle

The Harden Red Devils fell short in Saturday’s South West Fuel Cup Grand Final, going down 19–5 to Boorowa, but not before producing a spirited second-half fightback that kept the Goldies under pressure until the final whistle.

After conceding early tries, the Red Devils trailed at the break but emerged from halftime with renewed energy.

Harden struck first after the restart, crossing for a well-earned try that brought their supporters to life and shifted momentum.

From there, it was a fierce contest, with Harden forcing Boorowa to defend their line and work hard for every metre.

While the Goldies ultimately sealed the result with composed play and a strong defensive wall of their own, Harden’s determination ensured the contest remained in the balance until late in the game.

The Red Devils’ travelling fans turned out in big numbers and made their presence felt, roaring their side back into contention during the second-half surge.

Although the Grand Final result was not theirs, Harden can take pride in another strong season.

Their resilience, second-half turnaround, and refusal to let Boorowa cruise to the title showed the grit and spirit that define the club.
