The CTLX Autumn Classic weaner sale saw 5048 excellent quality cattle yarded.
The majority of the yarding was made up of Angus and Angus cross cattle weighing between 270kg and 320kg.
With much needed widespread rain falling the past week, buyers were spirited and competition was strong leading to dramatic price increases across the sale.
Weaner steers lifted $150 to $170 with lightweights to 200kg selling from $525 to $1040/head, topping at 520c/kg. Medium weight steers weighing 200kg to 280kg sold from $750 to $1340, and heavyweights over 280kg selling to $1675/head, most sold between 460c and 480c/kg.
