Over the weekend the Canowindra Tigers took on Condobolin in what promised to be an exciting clash.
The match opened up with some tough tussles and quick play.
Condobolin drew first blood, with a try in the corner off a kick in the seventh minute.
Condobolin backed this up with tries in the 12th and 19th minutes, and played some nice ad-libbed football while the Tigers had a couple of fundamental errors.
A Canowindra knock-on 20m from their line led to Condobolin seizing the ball from the scrum and working down the field from one side to the other to score on the corner and establish a 24-nil lead at half time.

Canowindra regrouped in the second half and got into a good position 30 metres out from the line after a penalty, but lost the ball on the first tackle.
This was described as recurring problem for Canowindra during the game putting them on the back foot and in a defensive position against some good plays by Condobolin.
However, Canowindra were able to maintain their defence, with no change in the score during the first 12 minutes of the second half.
Following this Zac Hunt scored a try off a kick from John Grant bringing the score to 30-10.
Shortly, after Jaye Fuimaono got his speed up from 20 metres out and dived over the line to bring the score to 30- 14 with six minutes left on the clock.
However the game was called early due to injury, a player suffering a broken leg.
Condobolin was able to finish the stronger of the two teams, with more possession and good positioning.
Several Canowindra players had strong games, including Jaye Fuimaono, Wally Gaeta, John Grant, Zac Hunt and Ron Lawrence.
In the league tag match Canowindra put on a very polished display against Condobolin and were on top early with early tries.
Laura Price scored the first of her three tries early in the match, followed by tries by Amy Harrison and Lillian Harrison in the 11th and 24th minutes respectively.
Condobolin struck back late in the first half with a nice try from their full-back to bring the score to 14-6.
Canowindra followed this up with Price scoring two more tries in the 31st and 37th minutes.
The second half saw Canowindra in control and put on a masterful display of league tag to run out winners 44 to 6, with two tries to Lilly Bannan and tries to Lucy Carpenter and Kyra Fisher.
Also having a good game was Maddie Barrett who made many runs deep into Condobolin's territory and strong at tagging through the middle.
Next week will see a close tussle for Canowindra when they take on Orange United Warriors.
