Cowra Magpies will be the 23rd club and the 20th community the Tackling Violence team, consisting of Beck Couch, David Peachey and Jay Little, have delivered to
Tackling Violence addresses domestic and family violence in communities through culture change in NSW Rugby Leauge Clubs, and encouraging Rugby League Clubs and their communities to connect and stand strong against domestic family violence.
Tackling Violence is project managed y the Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) and funded by Women NSW during 2017, supporting 31 local rugby league clubs as a platform to address domestic family violence in communities.
The Tackling Violence program is a community education, early intervention and prevention program using men’s, women’s and young people’s involvement in sport as context for attitude and behaviour toward domestic family violence.
Everyone over 16 is welcome to attend the Tackling Violence educational session being held on October 24 at the Cowra Services Club Falcon Room from 7pm.
