Hughes equaled his highest score of 122 at Drummoyne Oval on Friday night against Queensland, part of a season-high partnership of 192 with opening partner Nic Maddinson (86).
This competition, Hughes has scored 379 runs at an average of 63.16 in six games.
On Sunday, he managed three against Victoria at North Sydney Oval.
