At 7.30pm tonight Ms Cooke had polled 9528 first preference votes.
Country Labor candidate Charlie Sheahan had polled 4902 first prerefence votes and Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate Matt Stadtmiller 4879 votes.
Christrian Democrat candidate Phillip Langfield had received 551 votes, Greens candidate Jeffery Passlow 568 votes and independent candidate Jim Saleam 202 votes.
On a two party preferred basis the Nationals had polled 6247 giving Ms Cooke a clear lead over Country Labor candidate Charlie Sheahan with 4052 votes.
