Cowra Campdraft and Rodeo Association are hosting their annual campdraft which is set to kick off this October long weekend.

With a record number of entries, competitors from all over the state will travel to Cowra to compete in the three day event which commences at 10am on Friday, September 29.

It is set to be a massive few days of competition with one very special event being added to the program.

Just over a year ago the campdraft community lost the amazing Cec Peterson.

In memory of his hard work and contribution to the Cowra Campdraft Club we will be running the “Cec Peterson Memorial Open”.

This event will be held on Saturday afternoon followed by the must see final which will be held under lights.

Entry to the grounds is free for all spectators and with the competition running until dusk every day, it is a great opportunity to come and enjoy one of the most popular and unique horse sports in the country.

There is full catering available on all three days as well as a coffee van, full bar facilities and trade stalls.

The campdraft dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday, September 30 and tickets for this may be purchased from the canteen on the day before 1pm.

We would like to thank our 2017 sponsors and cattle donors for their generosity as without them this event would not be possible.
