The man was behind the wheel of a B-Double combination log truck heading north about two kilometres south of Back Creek Road when it veered to the southbound lane, off the road and collided with a number of gum trees.
The driver escaped unassisted with minor injuries.
Canobolas Local Area Command duty officer Chief Inspector Dave Harvey said police had taken no action at this stage.
