The meeting was held to discuss a number of ideas for the Garden in the lead up to the 75th anniversary of the Cowra Breakout.
Mr Herborn developed the first course in environmental planning at the University of Western Sydney and is a former Town Planner for Sutherland Shire Council.
He has lectured in the Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies at Sydney University, traveled extensively and pursued an interest in peace building and education.
Peter was the only Australian at the 9th conference of the International Network of Museums for Peace. He feels that some of the ideas from the conference would be relevant to people involved with Cowra’s relationship with Japan and tourism development.
