Having lost matches against Mudgee and Oberon in the past fortnight, Rory Brien is shifting Cowra’s focus to defeating the same sides they registered wins against during the first half of the Group 10 season.
The Magpies need to secure competition points against Blayney, Lithgow, Bathurst St Pat’s and Orange Hawks during their run home, and it begins this Sunday when they host the Bears.
This game marks Cowra’s final home game of the season before a tough stretch of away games.
Last week’s loss stung Cowra, with Oberon responding from an early six-point deficit to post a 24-point victory.
Coach Rory Brien said his troops dropped their heads when Oberon got on top during the mid-way point of the second-half.
“It’s been attitude related. If we can get that right, we’ll be okay.”
Cowra defeated the Bears 42-4 in round three. Game begins about 2.30pm.
