The 24th annual over 35s tennis championships were contested over the weekend of June 24 and 25 with 46 players from as far as Canberra, West Wyalong, Forbes, Orange, Bathurst, Queanbeyan, Tumut and Lithgow.

The prizes were shared among the competitors with the results as follows. On Saturday the very popular round robin was played in glorious weather.
Pool A men's winner Andrew Bartlett (West Wyalong), runner up Adrian Blackeby (Canberra). Pool B men's winner Terry Everson (Cowra), runner up John Apps (Cowra).
Pool A ladies winner Pauline Downes (Canberra), runner up Joanne Adams (Canberra).
Pool B ladies winner Marg Sellwood (Canberra), runner up Val Gavin (Canberra) June Langfield (Cowra) equal on points. Pool C ladies winner Tui Allison (Canberra), runner up Cindy Fuhlbohn (Cowra). Sunday ladies and men's doubles results.

Thanks to the great sponsors, committee, canteen helpers on making another successful tournament. Plans are underway for a revival of the ladies day tournament which has been set down for Thursday, August 17.
