Opening from 10am to 2pm and families were encouraged to come along and meet their local firefighters and learn more about fire prevention.
Cowra Station Captain, Chris Murray, thanked all who came saying a good day was had by all.
Captain Murray also thanked the Kangaroo Flat RFS for sharing in the Open Day with them.
This years Open Day focused on fire prevention in the kitchen, urging people to “Keep Looking When Cooking”, with almost half of all house fires start in the kitchen.
Kangaroo Flat firefighter Ben Ware also wished to thank Captain Muuray and the 270 station crew for the invitation and great day.
“It was a great opportunity to show case not only our role but also our close working relationship that both services have, and will continue to have to provide the best service to our community,” he said.
