One special student from St Raphael’s had the chance of a lifetime over the school holidays having secured the chance to work with the Sydney Theatre Company during its Work Experience Week.

Xavier Lynch said the experience was amazing and he always liked the theatre and performing arts.
“The work experience week was great, we spent a week seeing a show and the process of production, from everybody who is involved.
“There is a lot of work involved and it’s very complicated, but I feel the week set me up with path ways to enter the theatre now,” he said.
Lisa Mumford, Sydney Theatre Company Education Projects Officer, said she enjoyed working with the students.
“It has been a joy to work with the work experience students over the last week.
The application process required students to make a short video, so I knew they were dedicated. There were about 150 applicants, and the 24 students selected demonstrated flair, creativity and a real interest in theatre. They were an engaged and passionate, the future of theatre is in such good hands.”
