Yesterday Cowra Golf Club held its September Monthly Medal. A stroke event proudly sponsored by Cowra Meat Processors. The club thanks you for your ongoing support and generosity! Today was also the start of Cowra Couriers sponsoring NTPs in regulation on the third and the tenth. Big thank you goes to Warwick Spence and the rest of the team their for this great opportunity!

Conditions proved to be a little challenging especially with the showers after lunch but the round of the day and the winner of the Privilege cup for September as well as C Grade went to Matt Tremble with a nett score of 66.
This is Matt’s only good round of the year and now he has the rest of September to ask the members to fill his drink up. Well done Tremble and lets hope you can keep the mug in one piece! (The break it you bought it rule applies!)
A big well done also goes to David Withers, comfortably winning B grade with a nett score of 68 and Grant Glendenning who managed to go on to win A grade by three shots.

Next week will be a single Stableford and final qualifying round for the Handiskins. The finals will be played the following Sunday. Hopefully there will be no rain.
Last Thursday saw 24 vets take to the fairways on what proved to be once again one of the only sunny warm day for the week. Alan Luff was the best of them scoring a win with 16 points. The last voucher went to Ray Anderson on 12 points.
Thursday pro comp we had 16 starters. Neil Hayes was the winner on the day with 38 points, followed by last week’s winner Jeff Macpherson on 35 points.
Tuesday chook run had eight players. Harold Bryant and Ray Houghton were the winners on the day. Well done to you both!
Coming up: September 24 we have the Cowra Golf Club’s Holden Scramble Qualifier sponsored generously by Brad Savage and his team at Waugoola Motors. The event here this year will be an invitational event with every team required to have at least two Cowra Golf Club members playing. This is at the discretion of our club Professional Matt Docking who would like to reward Cowra members with the trip to the regional final.
September 21-23 sees the Cowra Golf Club hold the Cowra Seniors Tournament for 2016 sponsored by the Cowra Services Club Motel. Entries are being taken by the pro shop for this new event.
