The day will be held at Victoria Park’s No.2 and No.3 Ovals, with registrations commencing at 9am.
The day is open to any boys and girls aged 12 to 18 years interested in trying seven’s rugby.
NSW Rugby development staff are conducting the seven’s specific drills and games throughout the day.
‘’Rugby sevens is a unique, faster, modified 15s rugby game that allows for a quick outcome finishing in just 14 minutes of play,” NSW Rugby Union central west development officer Jarrod Simpson said.
‘’This is an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the Australian men’s and women’s Olympic teams and participate in a game that is played on the world stage.
‘’With the success of our women’s Olympic team in Rio it is a fantastic time to come and discover more about Seven’s rugby’.
‘’The discovery days provides the chance to tryout and be identified for a number of opportunities in seven’s rugby.
‘’Bring your friends and come down to the Seven’s Discovery Day this Sunday.”
