The wintery conditions with occasional scuds of rain and wind did not hinder the lady golfers who enjoyed their day of competition with the event being an 18-hole stableford.

Division 1: Winner Cookie Dolbel on 30 points from Sue Smith runner up with 30 points on a count back.
Division 2: Winner was Jo Bush with 34 points and runner up Julie Spolding on 30 points. The drive of the day was from Lorraine Stubbing on the Fagan 5th green which was very close to the cup and Lorraine went onto sink the putt for a birdie. Cheryl McKeown was nearest to the pin on the Coogee Kelpie Stud 14th green. Competition Ball winners were Jo Bush, Cookie Dolbel and Sue Smith.
The WDLGA Spoons was not scored for the day and will be played next week August 3. Breast Cancer Support Day will be played Sunday September 18 as a combined event with the Cowra Men Golfers as a 4 Person Ambrose, 9 holes for handicapped players and non handicapped players. Well done to the Ladies Pennants Team of Jenny Dresser, Cheryl McKeown, Carmel Mansell, Sue Smith and Jo Bush who won the quarter final against Coonabarabran played at Parkes July 26. One from the Cowra team played four holes extra to the 22nd to claim victory against her opponent.
Carole Doyle won the raffle, thank you to Cookie Dolbel who sponsored the lovely cheese and biscuits platter, which later was enjoyed as an evening entree. Captain Jenny Dresser is taking names for the Fagan Knockout which is soon to commence.
