Carpenter left Sydney a week ago ahead of what will be her debut Games and already she and the rest of the squad have been working hard to prepare under coach Alen Stajcic.
Based in Fortaleza, the Australians have been adjusting to the warmer temperatures.
After a relatively light session on day two, the Matildas were put through their paces with a punishing double session on day three in hot conditions.
While Carpenter has enjoyed time at the beach in recovery, this week she also got some much needed match practice with a training game against local outfit Ceara Youth FC.
The Matildas will tackle host nation Brazil in a friendly on July 24 at Estádio Presidente Vargas.
Their first match at the Games is against Canada on August 4 before clashes against Germany (August 7) and Zimbabwe (August 10).
