With Italy being our country of study we had flags on the stage curtains. The pre-school that attends the hall made red, white and green flags, decorated plates and coloured macaroni threaded. They were given certificates.
The hall looked great- Mena McMahon was our guest speaker and she had some beautiful items. There was an Italian display. Our International Officer Ruth Daintith introduced our guests. A fun quiz was run by Ruth.
We sang happy birthday to Italy.
We are promoting beetroot this year.
Thanks Ed Fagan from Mulyan Farm and others that made the tables look good. Alan Bush gave us a bit of Boronia Shrub which was are learning about and our butterfly display was wonderful.
Our Italian lunch was enjoyed, especially the dessert.
Thanks to all involved, especially Patty Bowen.
There were competitions and cuppas and Italian biscuits finished an interesting day.
