Bong-hyun Kim hosted six of the seven youth ambassadors, as well as festival volunteer Jean Sandberg, chairperson Cr Ruth Fagan and Cr Judi Smith, ahead of Cowra's annual celebration of cultures from around the world.
The festival ambassadors enjoyed a four-course Korean lunch before taking to the mic for a spot of karaoke.
Both Kitty Brooks and Jemma Pokoney were impressed with the ambassador's performance.
"He got like 100 points," Kitty said.
"You wouldn't think someone of such great importance would take something like that so seriously, it was so fun," Jemma said.
Despite the frivolity, the importance of the day was not lost on the ambassadors.
Alan Reid and Riley Barron found despite their cultural differences, they bonded with the ambassador over things like sport and music.
They said it's points of commonality like these that made them realise how connected our countries are.
"If we're going to live in a global world, the first step is understanding each other. I think it's a great thing exposing people to other cultures. If our cultures grow closer it's only going to lead to greater things," Alan said.
"He really showed us we can grow our connections with Korea," Riley said.
