A pleasing field of 108 players from Cowra and surrounding towns took to a course which presented a far greater challenge than usual.
Impressively, two groups managed sub-60 scores on the day, and it was one of the sponsors, Dave Wentworth who teamed up with Terry Coates, Warwick Stubbing and Ross Skene for a one and a half shot win.
The crew of Ken McLean, Mark Annetts, Wayne Rue and Craig Jeffries finished runners-up on the day with a very good score of 58 3/4.
In third place was yet another sponsor David Fagan, who joined up with Jake Moodie, Ed Anthony and Alan Tarrant to round out the podium finishers.
This Saturday's golf will be the final Monthly Medals of the year and it will feature an interesting, unique feature, following on from the Diabetes Australia Walk to Work day a month ago.

Sunday 11-hole Social Competition
At just $13 per player, the Sunday 11 hole competition is still the cheapest, easiest and best way to get into golf.
It is called a "competition," but you don't need to be good at golf, generous handicaps are applied, and you don't need to be a member of the club.
Please contact the Golf Shop on 6342 1211 for any further information.
Results for Sunday December 14: Winner; Col O'Leary (22 pts c/b) Runner-Up; Tom Neville (22 pts.)

Coming Events
This Saturday December 20 will be a huge, bonanza Christmas competition day.
As is traditional, Greg Bowen and David Withers are sponsoring the event, which will be the postponed December Monthly Medals and it will ALSO be sponsored by Andrew Pullen Accounting, along with Chris Walsh Insurance and the Cowra Golf Shop.
In conjunction with the Monthly Medals will be Peter McFarlane's bonus event, exclusively for those players in the field who WALK the course.
