The hottest group on the course for the day was the squad of Les Pinkerton, John Holmes, Steve Cains and Chris Walsh who chalked up a win with a very good score of 53 5/8.
The runners-up prize was taken home by the three Steward boys, Greg, Dean and Matthew, who enlisted Peter Garlick on their way to a tidy round of 55 1/2.
Cowra Subway Eat Fresh Nearest the Pin winners were: Simon MacKinney (5th) Greg Currie (7th) Bradd Kennedy (14th) and Kane Brooks (16th.)
Balls were won by: L.Pinkerton, J.Holmes, C.Walsh, S.Cains, M.Steward, G.Steward, D.Steward, P.Garlick, S.MacKinney, H.Tarrant, K.Stuart and W.Stubbing.
Friday Night Bistro
Julie Smith's Cowra Golf Club Bistro is open Fridays from 6:30pm to 9:00 pm.
Julie's popular buffet meals cost just $12.50 and a Blackboard Menu features various specials for only $16.

Veterans Golf
A good field of 32 Cowra Vets took to the back nine last Thursday October 23 and Harold Bryant announced his triumphant return to golf with a two-shot win.
Chook/vouchers were won by; H.Bryant, R.Newham, R.Salisbury, K.Miller, J.MacPherson, B.Warner, L.Ryan, D.Spolding, J.Campbell, B.Manuel and L.Pinkerton.
Tuesday Chook Run
The Chook Run continues each Tuesday.
It is a roll-up start, 9 hole comp conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The chook/voucher winners on October 28 were: B.Henderson, R.Newham, R.Banks and R.Houghton.
Junior Golf
Steve Cains' Sunday Junior Golf will NOT be on this Sunday, November 2 as Steve is away and will resume next Sunday November 9 from 9:00am.
Sunday 11-hole Social Competition
At just $13 per player, the Sunday 11 hole competition is still the cheapest, easiest and best way to get into golf.
It is called a "competition," but you don't need to be good at golf, generous handicaps are applied, and you don't need to be a member of the club.

Dress Regulations
ALL golfers are reminded that t-shirts without collars, tracksuit pants, dirty work clothes/boots, footy clothing etc. are NOT acceptable on the Cowra Golf Course at ANY time, whether it be for competition play, social golf, or just a bit of practice.

Datavoice Communications Business House Golf starts tonight, Friday October 31.
This Saturday November 1 will be the November Monthly Medals and also the 2014 Star Medal Playoffs, sponsored by Clive Wilson, Dean Coghlan, Peter Kirwan, Dion & Sarah McAlister, along with Chris Walsh Insurance and the Cowra Golf Shop.
The Cowra Golf Club's Presentation Night is also on this Saturday, November 1- 6:30 for 7:00- bookings are to be made through the golf club office/bar.
Then on Sunday November 2, the 2014 Cowra Golf Club Mixed Foursomes Championships are on with a 10:30am shotgun start, sponsored by the Cowra Golf Shop.
Next Saturday November 8 will be a great fun Major Novelty event, sponsored by Kilby's Heating & Cooling, Leigh Browne Builder, Craig Watmore Bricklaying and Mick Jordan.
