Last year's runners up easily chased down the required 113 runs set by the Blues with skipper Phil Simpson (38 not out) and veteran Ben Mitton (39) guiding them to their opening win of the season.
Earlier in the day it was opening bowler Mick Millar (4-21) and Hamish Starr (3-2) doing the damage with the ball for Grenfell ruining any momentum the Blues gathered from their opening round win.
Millar grabbed two in the opening over of the game and Grenfell captain Simpson said taking regular wickets from there stopped the Blues from building a formidable total.
"It was a good pitch and a really quick outfield," Simpson said.
"But they were 2-0 after the first over, we got off to a great start.
"Ben [Mitton] hit a few fours and Terry [Knight] was 20 odd not out, it was a really good start to the season.
Simpson praised his young bowling attack who managed to restrict the Blues, who scored over 200 in round one, to only 113 on their home pitch.
"We're similar to last year, but our young bowlers, Mick (Millar), Zach (Starr) and Hamish (Starr) are a year older and are bowling well."
Rallying on the back of their opening win, Simpsons' teams focus now turns to Morongla this weekend where they will do battle at Henry Lawson Oval.
"We always have tight matches with Morongla," Simpson said. "They're a good team right across the board, it'll be a close match.
In last rounds other matches Canowindra easily accounted for the Young Criterion Hotel Coyotes at Holman Oval.
Chasing 83, Ben Schaefer (42) led Canowindra to victory in just 16 overs, hitting seven boundaries and a six that bounced into the Lachlan River.
And at Twigg Oval, Morongla kept Valleys winless.
Despite the match potentially going either way in the final moments Morongla managed to scrounge up every last run and seal the win in the final over with one wicket in hand.
