Cowra Eagles coach Sean Leyland admitted he had a sense of deja vu towards the end of regulation time when his side's goal in the final minutes was over-ruled by the sideline referee in the Bathurst District Soccer Association grand final on Sunday.

"It was like deja vu, same field, same opposition, same time in the match and same touchy," Leyland said.
Being judged offside, just like two weeks ago, the Eagles were forced into extra time against CSU White where they finally got revenge over their Bathurst rivals.
On the cusp of penalties, Daniel Frenda-Briggs fired home a shot from outside the 18-yard box into the top right-hand corner and jubilation followed.
Coach Leyland said he was busy organising his penalty takers list when Frenda-Briggs hit the winning goal.
"It was a great sense of achievement," Leyland said.
"I didn't want it to go into penalties because it can be a real lottery."
"We got four or five blokes who have played in Cowra all their life and not won a grand final.
"I was very pleased for them, we celebrated long and hard into the night."
Early in the match CSU White had a man sent off for what can only be described as a "brain-snap" after he deliberately denied Cowra a shot at goal with his hand.
From there the Eagles dictated the match as they dominated possession.
Unable to find a winning goal however, Cowra continued to pile on pressure peppering the CSU White goalkeeper with shots on target.
It wasn't until late in the second half that the ball found its way into the goal, only to be disallowed by the touch judges flag much to the disappointment of the Cowra team.
Having an angry Eagles team to tame before extra-time began, Leyland made sure his team didn't make the same mistake as two weeks ago when emotions got in the way of football.
"I just told them to get it out of their heads," he said.
"There is nothing we could do about the refs decision.".
Eventually the Eagles got their deserved goal and premiership medals after a stellar season where they were also minor-premiers.
"It was a matter of time really, but I was relieved [when the final whistle went]," Sean said.
"We stayed patient and eventually having the extra man told.
"There was plenty of support for us there, probably 200 or 300 people it made a huge difference."
Substitute Matt Reed was named the referee's man of the match for his strong game in defence, while young striker Bede Leyland was recognised as the leading goal-scorer for the competition.
Cowra Eagles 1 (Daniel Frenda-Briggs goal) defeated CSU White 0.
