Introduced by their CEO Ray Harris, Nicky Lawrence (Care Manager), Jane Newton (Dietary and Housekeeping), Jolanda McGregor (Community Care Coordinator), Ruth Green (QA Supervisor) and Vanessa Warren (Activities Officer) each gave the club a short speech on their field of responsibility at Bilyara.
The ladies are proud of their work and achievements and are especially proud of the family atmosphere which they work hard to engender for the residents.
The staff at Bilyara ensure that quality care is provided to the residents.
As well as providing them with excellent meals, laundry and linen services they provide meaningful activities for the residents designed to encourage participation and meet their social, physical and spiritual needs, these can include bus trips, games, leasure activities, group physical exercises etc, as well as shows from visiting and local entertainers.
The staff and volunteers also provide help and companionship to residents in the form of conversation, reading, help with the use of computers and whatever else may be necessary to the residents quality of life.
The physical wellbeing of the residents is also catered for by Brenda, their visiting physio, who's programmes are tailored to the individual and aims to help with strength, balance and mobility.
Bilyara also provides care to those in the community still living in their own homes. The services delivered are in the form of meals, house cleaning, transport etc., and are provided to the individual's requirements.
Brian Dawes was presented with a trophy marking his unblemished record over the past 25 years of 100% attendance at Rotary, an huge achievement.
The winner of last weekend's Wood Raffle was Wendy Quilter.
