Hundreds of Cowra residents lined Kendal Street on Thursday to watch the town's Anzac Day parade, remembering the sacrifices made by soldiers throughout past and current wars and commemorate their services to our nation.

Anzac Day 2013 marked 98 years to the day that Australian soldiers landed on the shores at Gallipoli during World War I.
A wreath laying service was held at the Brisbane Street Cenotaph before the traditional parade down Kendal Street to River Park.
Alamein Company of the Royal Military College, Duntroon was the Guard of Honour, leading the Catafalque Party comprising soldiers from Cowra's 6th Platoon, B Company, 1st/19th Battalion of the Royal NSW Regiment, while the Cowra Cadet Platoon provided the Flag Party.
Local ex-service personnel marched alongside family members of those who are now longer with us.
At the River Park Service, Frank Bridges from the Cowra RSL sub-Branch thanked residents for their attendance.
"It is good to see so many people on such a glorious day," Mr Bridges said.
Salvation Army Captain Louise Beamish said that what the "young men of Australia demonstrated at Gallipoli was that Australia was truly a nation".
"[There is ] Strength in knowledge and hope that our sons and daughters never forget the example set by our forefathers," she said.
"[They died] so that the lights of freedom and humanity shall continue to shine.
"Let us mourn with pride but let us remember with equal pride."
