The ride will begin in Geelong, wind its way through country Victoria and southern NSW, finishing in Canberra.
Having watched the documentaries of the Tour de Cure for many years, Linda had always had an interest in one day participating in this great event.
In 2018 Linda's husband was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo surgery, followed by three months of treatment, which required them moving to Sydney for the duration.
This first-hand experience has made fundraising through participating in the Tour de Cure even more important to Linda and her family.
Over the last 25 years researchers funded by Tour de Cure have made 50 significant breakthroughs in cancer diagnosis and treatments.
This Saturday Linda has organized a Music Afternoon on the lawns of Woodstock Hotel.
There will be an array of entertainers, a jumping castle and face painting for the children and meat raffles.
A sausage sandwich and cold beer, wine or soft drink is included in the $8 entry fee.
All donations towards Linda's Tour de Cure fundraiser can be made directly at https://tourdecure.grassrootz.com/signature-tour-2022/linda-jonkers
