In a statement, the Cowra Wine Show committee said, with the increase of COVID cases across the region and wider NSW, the health and safety of patrons and stewards was paramount.
"The committee of the Cowra Wine Show have reluctantly decided to cancel the public wine tasting set down for February," the committee said.
"The constantly changing regulations, together with a forecast peak in COVID cases in February have left too mush risk for both the attendees and our wine stewards.
"The committee feel that it is not in the best interest of Cowra residents and visitors from the metropolitan areas to be exposed in a high risk function such as the wine tasting."
The public tasting had been postponed twice last year due to COVID restrictions and the increase of cases.
All people holding tickets will receive a full refund through Ticketek.
"The Wine Show committee apologise for taking this action, but feel we had little choice considering the current circumstances," the committee said.
"We take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported the Wine Show, and hope to have a successful show again this year in July."
