Office in Charge of Cowra, Inspector Adam Beard, said the period had gone well from a policing perspective.
"Christmas was quiet, we didn't have any serious accidents, though we did have a busy night at Wyangala and in Cowra for New Years Eve," he said.
"There were some unauthorised fireworks set off at the park at Wyangala, which may have potentially injured other campers.
"This did evolve into a number of persons being involved in a series of verbal arguments.
"Police attended the scene, as did the Rural Fire Service who extinguished the fireworks.
"A number of people were spoken to and Police were able to resolve the situation.
"Licenced premises from a policing perspective were quiet and no real issues were reported.
"However there were a number of private parties in which incidents occurred that kept us quite busy."
Inspector Beard said the region's roads had also seen good results.
"We were fortunate we didn't have any serious motor vehicle incidents, driver behaviour was generally quite good," he said.
"There were a few individuals who came to notice for drink driving offences, but other than that police maintained a fairly heavy presence on the roads and things flowed very safely."
With the holiday period coming to a close and the community returning to regular routines of school and work, Inspector Beard said it was important we remain up to date on COVID-19.
"The Public Health Orders are ever changing and the community needs to keep abreast of them," he said.
"Maintaining the safe practices we've been employing for so long now and with the changing nature of COIVD variants, we need to be patient and courteous with staff.
"We are all in this situation together, there will be issues that will arise, but we've got this far and will continue to push through."
