UPDATE: Moderate flood warning for Belubula

The SES advises heavy rainfall over the past 24 to 48 hours has caused significant river rises along the Belubula River.
It peaked downstream of Carcoar at 1.35m and was approaching The Needles and Canowindra Upstream overnight Friday into Saturday.

Renewed rises have been observed in the Lachlan River at Cowra, the Bureau of Meteorology says, issuing a warning that we could see more water in coming days.
As of Friday afternoon the Lachlan River was at 7.5m; the minor flood level is 8.5 and it had dropped to 3.65m by Wednesday after moderate flooding last week.
These floodwaters combined with flows from the Belubula River are expected to cause renewed minor flooding at Nanami from Friday.
Further rises to the moderate flood level are possible depending on how the forecast rainfall eventuates.
From the earlier event in mid-November, the Lachlan River at Forbes Iron Bridge peaked near 10.54 metres on Thursday 18 November with near major flooding.
River levels at Forbes have fallen below the minor flood level but renewed rises are possible.
Predictions will be made once upstream peaks are observed.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir peaked near 7.00 metres on Friday 19 November with major flooding.
River levels are Cottons Weir have fallen below the moderate flood level.
Major flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Jemalong where river levels peaked around 7.94 metres on Monday 22 November.
Minor flooding is occurring at Condobolin where moderate flooding is likely over the weekend.
Lachlan Shire Council has now advised of the following road closures, as of Friday:
- North Forbes Road (SR 85) - CLOSED to all vehicles due to water over the road approx. 12km east of Condobolin.
- Lachlan Valley Way (MR 377) South Forbes Road - CLOSED to all vehicles just east of Jemalong, at the 21 Mile.
- Kiacatoo Road (MR 7521) west of Kiacatoo - CLOSED to all vehicles.
- Diggers Road (SR 94) - CLOSED to all vehicles.
- Burcher Road (SR 1145) - CLOSED from Fitzgerald Road (SR 106) to Lachlan Shire LGA boundary
As of 9am Friday, Wyangala Dam was at 92.2 per cent.
