Anthony Boland, of Forbes Road, charged with driving while his licence was cancelled, provided a message to the court pleading guilty and asking for the matter to be dealt with in his absence.
According to police facts around 3.20pm on Sunday, October 3, police were patrolling the Lachlan Valley Way towards Gooloogong when they observed a vehicle travelling towards them at 95km/h.
Being a long weekend police decided to stop the vehicle and submit the driver to random testing which proved negative.
Police checks confirmed his licence had expired and his renewal had been formally refused on September 15 because of excessive demerit points.
In sentencing, Magistrate Jillian Kiely, noted Boland had a "terrible" record.
"He has a number of matters on his recent record," she said.
"Four mobile phone offences and failing to give way.
"Now his licenced is cancelled until 2022 due to demerits."
