The weather was perfect, the landscape scenery and gardens simply beautiful, the running creeks inviting and the locals really friendly.
We were quite busy, and our activities included walking a section of the Hume and Hovell Track, a visit the Southern Cloud Memorial Park, traverse the Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail, witness the beauty of Braymont Gardens, see the power of the Paddys River Falls and experience some of the local gardens entered in the local Springtime Garden Festival.
Future walks
Possible mid-week walks at short notice via email.
Depending on the weather, may include Wyangala Dam spillway and environs.
Saturday, November 13
Do your own thing by attending the Cowra Garden Club's Spring Spectacular with three beautiful gardens on display and something happening in every one - 10am to 5pm.
Garden one belongs to Gloria and Gary Kibbler; this is where we will be having the Cowra Musical Ensemble singing in the garden around 10:30am to 11:00am. You can enjoy the freshness of the garden and listen to favourite renditions.
Garden two is the stunning garden on Judy and John Dutton. Here you can enjoy morning and afternoon teas, or a light luncheon, and delight in their spectacular roses and interesting plants.
Garden three is owned by Chris and Norm Palazzi. Norm has said at about 2pm he would do a walk and talk through his garden and answer questions if anyone has problems with natives. There will also be a trade table/plant stall.
