Attendees at the camps will have the opportunity to experience the many benefits of camping at various locations with their support, incorporating Recovery Coaching during the activities undertaken.
Camps are conducted in small groups, bringing together people who are experiencing a similar recovery journey.
The Recovery Camps are for 25 to 65-year-olds with a NDIS plan and are available to both participants with mental health challenges and participants with physical or psychological challenges.
Feedback from clients about Recovery Camps is very positive.
"It is truly life changing."
These are the words of Kim, 59, who had earlier referred to herself as a broken woman, suffering from chronic depression and PTSD.
This new service is delivered in addition to their long-established Support Coordination service.
Ability Network's Support Coordinators are Narelle Russell and Lisa Robertson, both of whom are well known in the Cowra region.
Support Coordinators support people on a NDIS Plan to address barriers to participation or access to services, providing information about all available options and providing advice and support.
Narelle and Lisa provide confidential and professional support to help navigate the complexity of the NDIS.
For more information about Support Coordination, contact Narelle Russell on 0448 729 580 or Lisa Robertson on 0448 727 634.
