The Fiji international has inked a two year deal after earlier being released from the final season of his contract with the New Zealand Warriors.
The 29-year-old moves to England after playing 130 NRL games.
He linked with the Warriors in 2021 after stints at Sydney Roosters and Parramatta.
The Warriors had announced earlier this month that they had agreed to a release so Evans could take up an option in England.
Evans faced a six-game ban to start the 2022 NRL season after being slapped with dangerous contact and contrary conduct charges following the Warriors' final round clash against the Gold Coast last month.
"To have signed my deal and to be on my way over there soon is a massive opportunity for me and I can't wait to get started with the club," said Evans.
"It is a new test for me to challenge myself against some of the big names on the other side of the world."
Evans - who played for Fiji at the 2013 and 2017 Rugby League World Cups - links with Josh Reynolds at Hull FC.
"Kane is a big unit and his addition to our squad brings another level of power, aggression and size next season, and we're pleased to have another key player tied down for 2022," Hull FC coach Brett Hodgson said.
"He's got a wealth of experience having played consistently in the NRL for the best part of a decade, and a competitive streak which is clear to see when he takes to the field."
