Victoria records 13 COVID-19 deaths, 1534 new cases

Victoria has recorded 1534 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths in the 24 hours to midnight.

The state is now at 76 per cent fully vaccinated for citizens over 16 years.

There are 748 patients in hospital with COVID-19, with 138 in ICU and 87 ventilated.

The number of active cases across Victoria is 24,164, while 83,210 tests were conducted yesterday.

State-run vaccination clinics administered 24,180 doses of vaccine yesterday, while 4,509,236 doses have been administered in total.

The QR code check-in app Victorians use to register at cafes, shops and even playgrounds will also be able to let them know if they have visited an exposure site.

An update to the Service Victoria app will mean it can notify people if they have visited a tier one exposure site, according to the Chief Health Officer's update on Tuesday.

Previously, Victorians had to keep a close eye on government exposure site listings, which can run to hundreds of locations, or wait for health authorities to contact them directly.
